On the motives of the Uzbek national fairy tale. It is a fairy tale about greedy Beck and poor Umar, who was reward by the magician Snake with a magic ring. When Beck learned about it he enticed a ring from the boy and set Umar in the prison. When Beck fell asleep, true friends of Umar - the Dog and the Cat dragged off the ring and returned it to their owner.
